Olivier L. de Weck is Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Engineering Systems at MIT. Daniel Roos, Founding Director of Engineering Systems Division, is Japan Steel Industry Professor of Engineering Systems and Civil and Environmental Engineering, Emeritus, at MIT. Christopher L. Magee is Professor of the Practice of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Systems at MIT, where he is also Codirector of the International Design Center of Singapore University of Technology and Design and MIT.

5Great book!!

This book is very well written and easy to read so don't let the title throw you. It is a look into the sociological and practicality of new and future developments in technology. The pros and cons are well researched and explained in a most interesting manner. I bought this book for my son-in-law for Christmas and can't wait for him to read it!! I think it is a book that everyone should read whether you are interested in engineering or not. It will make you say, "I never thought of it that way" about so many things.
