5PE Exam Must-Have
By Tom
Like I said, PE Exam Must-Have.
This book contains all the units you never knew you wanted to convert. Got rpm, need rad/s, easy. But, that IS an easy one. What about gram-cal-cm/cm^2-sec-°C? You can convert it to Btu-ft/ft^2-hr-°F without breaking a sweat.
During the test I reached for it constantly. Leave it out of your PE library at your own peril.
One last note, once you get this, take it to your local copy & print and have it spiral bound. It will be MUCH easier to use.

5A Must Have For Any Engineer
By Kyle
This book is a must have if you are preparing to take the PE Exam. I used it frequently during my preparation and the test to perform quick unit conversions. The books gives you a base unit and then a multiplier to obtain a different unit. It saves me tons of time, and time is of the essence on this test so every second you can spare is well worth it. I even use it in my day job and is especially useful when making jumps between SI and US units like going from HP to KW-Hr. This should be a part of any engineers reference library.

5If for some reason you were only going to take 3 references with you, this would be one...
By B. A. Lutz
This book was a God-send. A HUGE part of the PE exam is dealing with mismatched units and conversions. This book has them ALL. I used the covers for some of the common conversions that I don't use everyday (kW, hp, BTUs and psi, feet of water, etc) and I didn't want to dig for every time, nor did I want to trust my memory under the stressful conditions of the exam.
